Rock Climbing in Sintra
Sintra is a nice traditional town, 30 Km north of Lisbon. In this place there are forests gardens and castles where some European Kings spent weekends. The climbing sectors are in the mountain near the Moorish Castle and are oriented to west. The north rock is faced to norwest so, is the coldest one. Sintra is a very cold climbing school in the winter, and very pleasant at summer. If you go there in the winter, choose the afternoon. If you have no prior climbing experience you may feel a little nervous about being on top of the rock, but the adrenaline of being hung on the rope will soon get you, halfway through the descent you will start to look around the quiet and the view gives you an unforgettable feeling.
Rock climbing Sintra coaches will guide and teach you the basics of the technique of climbing and will provide you with all professional equipment necessary for safety and protection. Depending on weather conditions and Rock State activity can be carried out in another climbing site in the Sierra de Sintra. There is a possibility for joining groups in the morning or organizing a private group session for an event (8 to 300 participants), please inform for information. Prices start at 19 euro per person, joining a morning group (9 am) to 38 euro per person for a private or event group depending on group size.
